EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I just got the iPad M4 11 inch and I was looking for a nice keyboard case that I could detach the iPad from as needed. I liked the idea of the Apple Magic Keyboard but (1) I was NOT paying $350, that’s wild, (2) I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t a case or some sort of shell for the iPad to be in when detached from the keyboard (for $350 you would think they’d give you something), and (3) there was no way to secure the Apple Pencil (it magnetizes to your iPad but I want to make sure it STAYS there, again for $350 you think there would be something).I looked into other options as well and found some cool options from Typecase which is apparently a pretty popular brand, they even had their own version of the Magic Keyboard at a lower price ($100ish) but it was the same thing with the same things missing. That’s where this beautiful keyboard comes in! I LOVE it! First of all the material is fabulous feels so high quality. It’s like a silicone based materiel that feels buttery smooth and soft. The keyboard is amazing as well and the backlighting is great! The case is a little weighty but it is NOT heavy! This case comes with a shell to go on your iPad that you can use on and off the keyboard. I also really appreciate the fact that the closure is made to further secure the Apple Pencil to the iPad when not in use (I don’t know about you but I’m not willing to lose $129 because I bumped the pencil off of my iPad)I know I could talk about connectivity to the iPad, smoothness of the trackpad, keyboard quality, etc as well but everyone else did a great job talking about all of those things with this great keyboard so I decided to hit why I like this better than that overpriced and under-protective Magic Keybord! 😂This is everything I wanted in a keyboard and I’m super happy with it! Hope this helps!Ps: sorry I don’t have the iPad in the case at the moment, it’s charging and I really wanted to to get this review up 😂

Great keyboard/case for the $$$
Keyboard stays charged. Worth the money. Compared this keyboard with the branded keyboard. This option was quite affordable. I have larger hands and have had no issue with typing on this keyboard. Other reviews have complained about the weight of the keyboard/ipad and the tight fit of the iPad frame. Both are accurate but the quality and price of this keyboard + case is worth it.

But Why Not?
The media could not be loaded. When I first bought the IPad I got the ESR magnetic folio case (Great Case) , but after a while I wanted this. Overall the keyboard and trackpad both feel very responsive and after a week putting it to work it’s given me no issues. My only dislike about the product , is the fact that If I wanted to use my ESR folio. I then have to switch between two magnetic cases, not the most difficult thing to do just inconvenient. It takes away from the convenience that both the cases take advantage of and that’s the magnetic case around your iPad.Over all it’s a perfect size for the 11 inch iPad Pro , the build quality feels great . As far as durability goes we’ll have to see how it holds up in the next few months.

Much better value than the Magic Keyboard which doesn’t come with the internal case
Pros:- protects all sides and corners of the IPad very well- allows iPad to be positioned vertically- significantly more affordable than Magic Keyboard (which doesn’t even come with a case)- has its own battery (Magic keyboard runs off of the iPad’s battery)Cons:- No pass through charging for the IPad. Both need to be charged separately but the keyboard’s charge lasts quite a while (haven’t had to charge it more than the first time in the month that I’ve had it)- Slightly thicker and heavier than Magic Keyboard + separate case.- IPad cant be tilted back as far as on the Magic Keyboard.I bought this ESR keyboard/case, the “Typecase Touch” keyboard that rotates a bit, and the Magic Keyboard + Spigen Enzo Case.I got the Magic Keyboard so the iPad and Keyboard could be charged via the single USB port on the Magic Keyboard, leaving the USB on the IPad free but it’s a steep price to pay for the convenience.. $55 for the Spigen Enzo case, ~$300 for the keyboard vs. ~$92 for the ESR keyboard/cover that charges separately. The Magic Keyboard is covered under AppleCare but realistically the ESR case could be replace 3x for the price of the Magic Keyboard + Case.*Havent tried the Typecase yet. Mostly use the Magic Keyboard/Spigen combo because I’ve already bought it, it’s covered under AppleCare if damaged, I prefer the amount of tilt it allows and it’s nice to charge through the Keyboard. That being said, if I had to choose one it would be this ESR for the price and better protection.

Opt for the insurance if you will be purchasing this item :(
Bought this in August of 2024 & in April of 2025 the keyboard will not turn on & doesn't respond to charging. Should have opted for insurance, I guess! Has never been exposed to moisture, always packed carefully when traveling & well taken care of - I run my business from my ipad! Going in the trash to be replaced with a better option that will hopefully last longer than this one did!

Turn your iPad into a fat laptop with a break-off tablet
I use my iPad mostly as a tablet (flat on a table or in my hands), but occasionally want a keyboard for light messaging/commenting. This ESR case is not for me. It seems to be aimed at people who want a laptop 80% of the time and a tablet 20% of the time.+ Good build quality+ Stand supports the tablet in landscape or portrait mode- Bluetooth device: have to pair it, wait for connection on each use, and charge the battery- Thick & heavy- Can’t use the tablet flat without opening clamshell (a two-handed operation) and removing the tablet- Angle is steep, so it’s unsuitable for use on a table or counter while standingFor my tablet-first use case, what I really want is a Logitech Combo Touch (lightweight, fold the keyboard out of the way for tablet use, physical connection) but with the build quality of the ESR keyboard case.
