This Scanmarker Pal Translation Pen is very accurate and super handy. I got it for my 14 yrs old niece who suffers from Dyslexia. Ever since I got this little pal for her I’ve notice some great progress with her independent reading ability and pronouncing words. I am so impressed with how the device functions, it is easy to use, and accuracy on point. I use the device from time to time to translate and learn different languages. One of my favorite features is being able control the speed and how I am able to slow down how fast it reads the text - giving me quite some time to processes it fully. It is durable, convenient, battery life is great, scanning capability is awesome and compass. Such great value for the price. Highly recommended!!!

I'm a special ed teacher at the elementary level. I have typically used a CPen, but saw this one which seemed really similar and was much less expensive. So, I ordered it and different one to try with my students. Its great! It is as easy to use as the CPen and has similar functions. The size is manageable to hold (a little bigger than a fat marker) and I love that it comes with a guide to help my less that nimble students stay in line over the text. It can be set for left or right handed (I'm a lefty) and it's not too awkward as a lefty. You can set the voice speed which is great for the slower processing students. It takes some practice to be accurate in the scanning of text, but when you are, the output is spot on. There are options to store scanned text, wirelessly save to a computer, and voice record (I supposed for oral translation support, but great for someone to take a voice note once they have read the text). The price was great and definitely something affordable for home use.

I think it is a very cool item. It’s pretty easy to use. It is a sturdy pen And I was able to use it with ease and functions fine. It was pretty accurate. I did have to go over the words a couple of times sometimes for it to register. it does translate from all different languages, but I got it more for the reading. I think it’s a good price point for what it does

My 3 year old loved this to reading books. Very to use. It is scanning the text with various font styles. Highly recommend for kids to learn and pronounce words by scanning it.

Excellent instrument learn your own technique then you will enjoy it.

I bought this because I just started a PhD program and have a lot of reading to do. I was hoping to use this pen to help get through the material because non-fiction is hard for me to focus on. Unfortunately, I discovered that the pen only reads after you have highlighted it as opposed to as you’re highlighting it so it actually takes double the time to read through material. My dad has low vision and also wanted a pen for himself to improve his ability to read. He also found that it was cumbersome to use, and he returned his as well. I was disappointed because I’ve always thought these pens were super neat and would be helpful for college students, but unfortunately, I think it’s really just an accessibility tool for a specific set of people and not as universally helpful as the description makes it out to be

This product deserves a high rating. However, I had to return it due to a synchronization problem for use outside the home. Connecting to the home network was done very quickly. At the same time, attempts to synchronize with a smartphone via Bluetooth were not unsuccessful. Contacting the support service did not give a result. The size of the auxiliary ruler for scanning is smaller than the standard line. which creates additional difficulties.

This translation pen has been a lifesaver for language learning and reading - it's so easy to use and the accuracy is impressive!
