CNZ Aquarium Natural River Gravel 5-Pound

I love the look of these multicolor rocks/gravel. It was a great buy! I read that it was hard to get all the dust off of the rocks, so I put all of it in a colander and took it outside and hosed it down several times with the water sprinkler. I had zero problem with the dust. Please excuse my tank I was still in the middle of getting it ready!

You definitely need to thoroughly clean the gravel. I just kept moving it around between to containers and sifting through it until the water was clear, but it’s great for a tank!

This gravel is not the same as the usual aquarium gravel. It's slightly larger in diameter. I actually like the gravel. If you decide to buy it make sure to rinse it off really well before adding it to your tank....it was "dusty". I found a few small pieces of seashell remnants in it as well, which was interesting.

I bought these rocks because my Pleco won't stop growing and I had to upgrade my tank to a larger size again. This was more affordable then getting the bags at the pet store. They arrive dirty but I mean, they are rocks. What do you expect? They give the tank a very natural look and they fish have all been doing great. I did mix in some of their old gravel for the bacteria.

Took a long time to rinse, and it colored my water tan for a couple weeks, but now my water is clear and the gravel looks nice. I suggest 2 bags if you have a 10 gallon. Maybe even 2.5-3 bags, if you want to make planting easier.

This is not the colored synthetic aquarium medium. This is the real deal mother earth approx. 3/16 (3-4mm) size real deal earth stone. Contents were slightly wet and you will need to give it a quick rinse with water to flush a light amount of sediment away to refresh. Arrived in 8 sealed plastic bags inside one Priority box. It was very heavy for the single Priority box and the box was totally destroyed, so my USPS friends had to deliver it in a plastic USPS mail container. The Priority Shipping box needs to be duct taped twice side to side and twice front to back. This was almost a disaster.
