I purchased this item because I have ADHD & was finding it difficult to leave my phone alone with willpower alone. I tried the iPhone built in app locks, but kept manually overriding them. 😂 I often wake up in the night for the bathroom & would pick up my phone when I got back into bed, finding myself engrossed in my phone until my alarm went off, missing out on several hours of sleep which left me exhausted & needing a nap during the day which then led to a later bedtime & so on. Now I just set my alarm, set the timer on the box for a few minutes before my alarm, plug in my phone & I cannot mess with it again until it's time to get up.It seems fairly well made. The plastic seems sturdy, though it is that brittle type of plastic, so I wouldn't risk dropping it.The internal storage space is a decent size - I have an iPhone XR, with a heavy duty style case which has a built in ring & magnet on the back & it fits my phone inside with the case on. It's not got much more space in depth, but there's probably a good centimetre of free space beside & above my phone, so it would probably fit the larger sized iphones too.I got it in white with the transparent door, so I can see who's calling, but I'm not sure it will allow the screen to light up at all. I use a sleep monitor app with a built in alarm which usually keeps the screen active but dimmed. The lock box causes the screen to go off completely & it won't allow me to awaken the screen by tapping through the hole in the front. It doesn't affect my alarm or the app recording my sleep. I haven't tested it with calls yet, so I'm not sure if the screen would light up.Most importantly, it's helping me to leave my phone alone at night & my sleep is improving. So it's money well spent, even if the price is a little steep for what it is.

So when I first received it, I had alot of difficulties turning it on & instructions are not the best.. but once I did and had fully charged it. It worked very well then on.Its definately good to keep your cravings at bay, the consistent nonsensical need to look at your phone is a thing of the past.You must have some discipline already to use this box as with a solid kitchen knife or fork this can be plied open but it will not be easy and obviously break rendering it useless. But that's partly the point it gives you control over your addiction but in an emergency it can be broke.A very good gadget I would recommend buying.

The site itself was easy to set up and was easy to charge, but there was a couple of things on it that I really wasn’t impressed about.Firstly the phone itself moved around the container way too much so if I wanted to actually answer it, I don’t think I would be able to. Secondly I couldn’t find an override code anywhere to be able to get it out before the allotted time. I know that defeats the object, but right now for me having my phone available is more important than having it in a container that I would not be able to override if needed hence two stars but it does work and it does what it says it’s not for me
