Great quality and sound
Brought this so I could video my mum at any time and same for her too. Sound quality is very good and picture very good and easy to use. Price was very good for the size. Does all other things as well with the app. Hold lots of information. All settings are easy. Very happy

Great for use in the kitchen
Got it at a good price one Prime day .It was easy to set up and the sound quality is actually pretty good. I use it in the kitchen for listening to audio books and podcast but it's handy having the screen if I need to pull up a recipe,

Not a massive upgrade from 2nd gen!
The media could not be loaded. This review is for the All-new Echo Show 5 (3rd generation) Compact smart touchscreen with Alexa for smart home control and more I White.I have several Alexa devices in the house, some with screens and others without. I must say the one with screens win hands down, they provide so many extra features for a small price difference.I have an echo show 8 and a echo show 5 already. This new device is on par with both the existing ones but has a number of new features.Style:The design and style of the show 5 is more slick with rounded corners. It about the same size as the old show and also similar in weight. I prefer the look of the new one, and in white it looks very sophisticated.The displayAmazing, top quality screen that provides excellent clear visuals. It is a touch screen and very easy to use and navigate around the features.SoundA noticeable improvement from the old echo show 5. Clear and deeper bass. Nice vocals. Perfect for a small room / kitchen.Features:Way to many to mention and lots of apps to install. My favourite one is that you can use the camera on this device and access it through your mobile device. Perfect for when on hols and you want to see what’s going on in the house also potential to use as a baby monitor And of course Alexa.. love her.Overall this is a top quality device by amazon, would totally recommend. The price could be a little cheaper if I’m honest but it’s a good solid device that you will likely get a lot of use from.If you are not concerned about the improved sound, you might want to go for the cheaper echo 5 second generation as there is very little difference between the two (small styling, sound and processor upgrade)Perfect for a bedside clock.

A great addition to the home.
It was on offer for a very good price.I bought it for my elderly mother it was fairly easy to set up. you will need an alexa and an amazon account and app.She finds it a nice size to use at the side of her bed snd she just has to unplug it to move it to another room when necessary. The Alexa voice is clear and the music and sound is very good.

Good smaller smart display
It supports Bluetooth and wi-fi. Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant comes built in. You can connect streaming services, such as Spotify and Audible (these may require subscriptions). Also being able to use the display for activities like watching news and weather. You can browse photos on it, too. And there’s a front-facing camera that allows you to use the device to make video calls. Usefully, the camera has a privacy shutter, so you can block it when not in use.There are limited buttons on the device itself – just volume controls and a button for turning the camera and microphones on or off. This is intended to be mainly controlled via voice commands.The screen isn’t huge – it’s about the same size as a large smartphone’s. That may not suit everyone. However, the image quality is nicely crisp with rich colours. Text looks clear and there’s not even a hint of pixilation. Reflections can make the screen harder to see, which may be an issue in brighter rooms. And the screen doesn’t look as vibrant when you’re viewing it from an angle.Touch controls feel very responsive. There’s no annoying lag while you wait for the device to catch up with your swipes or scrolls, for example. You’ll need to pick the unit up to use touchscreen controls, though. Fingerprints tend to show up quite badly in bright light, so you’ll need to keep a cloth handy to wipe the screen clean.Sound quality is okay for a device of this type. But don’t expect a rich, deep audiophile-level experience from Echo Show 5. This sounds best when you’re directly in front of it. If you move around the room while listening to this speaker, you’ll hear the quality drop off a little.This is a very straightforward device to use. It’s super-easy to set up – just plug it in, follow the on-screen prompts to connect to the internet and you’re more or less ready to go. If you want to stream music from another device via Bluetooth, you’ll need to ask Alexa to ‘connect via Bluetooth’ first. Controlling the device using Alexa voice commands feels very natural and intuitive. The Echo Show is fast to respond and will still understand you even when you’re playing tunes with the volume turned up.This is a neat little smart device that’s easy to use and works well. Sound quality isn’t amazing, unfortunately, but it’s not bad for a smart display this size.
