Mieszanka (Mieszkanka) Krakowska/Wawel Chocolate Covered Jelly Candy 1Lb (16oz)

This is my all-time favorite candy because of the slightly tart fruit jelly flavors, especially orange, with a light chocolate covering. So yummy.

I quit buying American chocolate because of all the chemicals that it is laden with. This has cocoa butter not the PGPR replacement that tastes bitter.

a couple of things1. this arrived in a clear bag like you would pick up in the bulk section at the grocery store. Not in the cute box pictured that would have been ideal for gifting. Now I have to find a cute box to place them in and then gift them. Maybe picture product exactly as it comes.2. Shorted on weight. I have several scales, one I use for shipping and one for weighing ingredients when I bake. On both it came to 12oz. I guess....one lb somewhere is 12oz ??? So be prepared to get less product than you pay for.3. NO EXPIRATION DATE available on the flimsy grocery bag. So another reason to maybe sell in original packaging? So I know this is not from 1890s?overall, will not buy again.

They were pretty good, although not blow away good and will not become a regular item for me.One pound of candy is 41 candies. I paid $14.94 for a pound, so it works out to 36 cents per candy. I got 10 Raspberry candies, 12 of Orange candies, 8 Lemon candies, and 11 of Pineapple candies. Each candy is individually wrapped in colorful wrappers with Polish writing. The candies come packaged in a plain plastic bag (not the box shown in the stock photo), so the presentation is not suitable for gifting without re-packaging.Ali Julia review

So now I know why I have an addition to chocolate covered raspberry jellies ! As a child my mom would buy these delectable candies from time to time. Thank God for Polish butchers in the neighborhood. To my surprise, as I was perusing the Polish food section there they were calling my name. Yes, all of this to say these are the world's best candies. Go ahead. Treat yourself. Make sure to hide them because they will be gone before you know it!

I gave this as a gift to my daughter and she loved it. We tasted these candies on a trip to Russia and I never thought that I would find them. These are exactly what I was looking for!
