Going to use these for a rail on a bookcase that I’m building to support a rolling ladder that will be attached. Exactly what I was looking for.

They were panted a nice mate black color so I didn't have to paint them for my project. I used them to make a blanket ladder and they were perfect. It's also nice they sell the painted end caps as well. Would definitely use for future projects due to their lighter weight and already being painted.

When connecting the two pipes together with the couplers you have to be careful because the threads could not line up correctly.

Got these pipes for pipe clamps for woodworking and very happy about them.Threading fit perfectly, lengths are identical and pipes themselves are very smooth and clean -- this is such a drastic difference from the pipes you get at your local hw store and these were much cheaper too.

I did look back through all of the listings for what I needed, and this was the only option for rod lengths longer than 18 inches. I'm not particularly impressed with these for a couple of reasons. The first issue was that these are not packed very well. Neither set had more than one half of one shaped piece of styrofoam to keep them in place. One set was completely out of the plastic sleeve. Both plastic sleeves were opened, and the rods were basically floating around in the carton. The next big issue is that the texture of the rods is not consistent. Most of the rods are smooth black, but have a texture in only some spots. These were purchased with other 1/2 inch black pipe parts, and the other manufacturer has a crinkle style coat. These rods are mostly smooth, but parts have a crinkle coat.I do not know whether I received a returned set, or if this is just how it is for this item. It's not like there are other choices, so this seems to be a "you get what you get" situation.

I'm using these as a support from a basement joint. Wanted something closer to real pipe without having to thread myself. They are doing the job thus far and they are held up by a cast iron piece. No flex or bends and are doing the job. Not the typical decorative use, but I will also probably use the other ones in the set for a curtain rod, or part of one, once I paint it. Sturdy enough to support the weight.

I have purchased many off these posts for DIY projects! They are strong and sturdy and look great… a bit hard to turn into connectors due to the paint on the treads but an easy fix.The last pack l bought was disappointing only 3 of the 6 posts was in the box and one wasn’t even threaded!! But again returned, refunded and re ordered no big deal 😁Will definitely be buying more
