Beautiful knife that fits your hand like a glove.
This knife arrived on time. It came in a black gift box with a white sheath over the blade. When I took it out of the sheath, the black mirror finish is just beautiful. I bought this knife and a steel knife for my husband for Christmas. He is always saying I never have any sharp knives in the kitchen. We have other ceramic knives, he likes them, I don't. So I thought I would get a good ceramic knife (over 4 stars) and a good steel knife ( over 4 stars) from Amazon and compare them.We had Prime Rib for Christmas. I got the ceramic knife out and very carefully cut into the meat. It cut easily and I could make thin slices. I was impressed and so was my husband. I was careful not to get close to the bones. So this is where I got the steel knife out. The steel knife was nice and sharp and I could cut right next to the bone. It made short work of the prime rib. The following week we had ham. The ceramic knife made nice thin cuts and it felt like I was cutting through butter. The knife is light weight and easy to handle, but when I got to the bone again I had to switch to the steel knife because I didn't want to chip the ceramic knife. The steel knife is heavy and doesn't fit my hand as well as the ceramic knife. I got good thin cuts from the steel knife and was able to get everything off of the bone.So what I learned from these two knives is that I need them both. This ceramic knife is lightweight, easy to clean, has the sheath and box to store it in. I will use it for my meats that do not have a bone or anything soft that I will not chip the blade on. I will use the steel knife when the meat I am going to cut has a bone.I know this knife was a gift for my husband, but I use it just about every day. It cleans up easily and some times I just leave the top open on the box (with the sheath off) and just look at it. It just shines. Very happy with this ceramic knife.

Wonderful knife
Wow, what a great knife! Extremely sharp and cuts like a dream. For the first time in my life I have a knife that I can mince veggies quite small with no problem. Also its so sharp that it cuts my home made bread better than my bread knife! Its also an attractive knife, like a black mirror. Customer support seems quite good as they have emailed me twice asking how I like it and if there is any problems with it. Not many sellers do that as I am sure you are aware. And I appreciate their caring. I highly recommend this knife ."This knife is extremely sharp, shaved off hair on my forearm with it , no shaving cream needed either. Knife is a pleasure to use, is lightweight and comfortable in my hand. This knife makes it easy to dice veggies very fine with little effort. Its a handsome knife too and I am quite pleased with it. Would recommend this knife to anyone. "

The last time I had them sharpened I asked the professional who told me they might have been quality 50 years ago but there were
My "good" set of knives date from 1967 and were a wedding present. At the time I was told they were of very high quality. The last time I had them sharpened I asked the professional who told me they might have been quality 50 years ago but there were lots better knives being made now. With some hesitation I ordered one ceramic knife to try. I'm relieved to find I love it. I'm using this one for general purpose food prep and am impressed by how much easier it is than my old "quality" knives. Will have to order other types.

BUY THIS KNIFE - IT'S BECOME THE ONE KNIFE WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT!!!
This is an exceptional knife!! I ordered the set of 4 smaller knives a couple of weeks ago. They are excellent, but my wife wanted a slightly larger chef's knife. So, I ordered the 7" MoiChef. We've had it less than 2 weeks and it's quickly become our GO-TO knife!! We are cooking and eating healthier and that translates to a lot more vegetables being chopped up. This knife is super-sharp with a great balance to it. The handle is really nice - there is just nothing wrong with this knife. YOU NEED THIS KNIFE!!!

Not as sharp as I would have hoped
Last year I bought my first ever ceramic knives (Kyocera) and they were fantastic! Broke one, so I ordered this one as a replacement. I was thinking that ALL ceramic knives would be just as sharp as the Kyocera. Wrong. This one cuts OK, but on tomatoes (the definitive test of sharpness) the MoiChef takes considerably more downward pressure on the draw stroke to pierce the tomato skin than the Kyocera. I'll keep the MoiChef and use it, it's fine, it's just not 5-star fine.

The Best Knife I currently own
Excellent knife, my favorite one amongst the others I have. I find it to be so much better than stainless steel, but it is more fragile as far as what can be cut ( nothing frozen & no bones), so keep the stainless for those things. Cuts beautifully & is very elegant in appearance as well. Moichef is also a great company to work with, my knife got a small chip from cutting a pineapple & they were prompt in answering my message & sent another in its place. Do not hesitate in purchasing this gem.

Worth it
I've been using it for about a month now and this knife is wonderful. Just follow the instructions provided for maintenance and protection and you will not damage the blade, it's pretty simple. The knife also handles excellently and is very lightweight. This is a great purchase/alternative if you are graduating/living on your own and can't afford a set of Wusthof's.

Best knife I have ever bought
Best knife I have ever bought! And, I have bought many over the years, but none can even come close to this one. Carves and slices like a dream. All you need do to clean it, is wipe it with a warm cloth and rinse in lukewarm water. A word of caution, though. Because it's so sharp, don't try to get fancy with it. I was able to cut my leftover corned beef as thin as if I got it at the Deli. Absolutely love it!!!
