Uniden Uniden R1 Extreme Long Range Radar Laser Detector 360 Degree Dsp Voice Alert, 1.1 Lb (Renewed)

This Uniden R1 radar detector was sold as "refurbished" but it was packaged as if it were brand new. It's perfect. Very fast shipping and a great product at rock-bottom prices. This R1 has the same sensitivity as the much more expensive R3 and now R5 and R7 so if you don't need GPS for lockouts or directional arrows, hey, save yourself hundreds of dollars and get this perfectly working R1. What a bargain.

so far works great for the money. has a good range and picks up all bands of detectors in nj. would recommend messing with the sensitivity cause highway picks up any radar like crazy

Works flawlessly but if you require a flasher, a pigtail is required as there is no plug in .

Still gives false alerts when passing newer cars. Works well. If a radar or laser is on. You will know it.

It's pricy but the quality is worth it. Obviously 1 ticket costs more than the unit itself if you buy the Refurbished ($179) offered by Amazon.I drove over 5,000 miles in 1 month for Uber and I never got a speeding ticket just a parking ticket but the radar is not designed to fix that problem. If it did I guess I'd give 5 stars for value.For casual daily drivers you probably don't need to invest as much but for people who need to habitually speed for work or recreation...by all means spend the extra money and get something real.

When you are driving around the city the device goes crazy but when you come back the same route it seems to not to give as many false alerts highway mode works well, still getting use to it,will update later

Great product, well worth the price. I don't speed much but I do believe speed traps are just as bad. I see off duty cops flying around my town with no accountability. This saves me everytime I come across a trap.

picks up radar far in advance, you can turn off all the false alarm bands that arent needed and auto mute after the first couple beeps make this detector the least annoying one so far. had a couple false laser alerts but not many. cops in michigan mainly only use ka band so i shut off k and x unless you want to know what stores have alarms..lol..well i dont so off they go. this thing already paid for itself over and over again.
